The Millfields Trust has donated £1000 to a local primary school, taking it well beyond the £1 million milestone mark it has ploughed into and invested in the local community of Stonehouse. This is a remarkable achievement which is being celebrated by a Trust with volunteer Directors and a small staff team.

Sandwich Island was the concept of Beth Taylor a local Stonehouse resident. The initial Idea for a sandwich shop was put to Roger Pipe of the Millfields Trust which with their help and support became a reality. Beth and her daughter Andrea are partners of Sandwich Island and the small business has grown rapidly over the past six years, now employing four members of staff.

Sandwich Island provide bespoke freshly made sandwiches and salad boxes, customers choose their own type of bread and select fillings from the Abundance of Fresh, locally sourced goodies in the shop. We also cater for buffets and platters. We are proud to announce that our produce, along with our staff are locally sourced, this enables the company to keep to a minimum its carbon footprint.
