So here we are in Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City located in the South West of England. A beautiful area close to both the sea and Moor. Ok, so we’re not a major city, we’re not mega trendy, BUT we’ve got a lot to give and some may even say the perfect location for both business and pleasure.
The Millfields Trust is a Social Enterprise, with our area of benefit being the Stonehouse area, an area of deprivation, we strive to plough our profits here to make a difference to this little community. It really is needed. We’ve got some great neighbours too, doing similar stuff, all working towards the same goal, making Stonehouse a great place to live and work and to be proud of. Although we can’t compare to the trendy state-of-the-art co-working spaces in the big cities, we can offer everything that is required to run a successful business from our premises, whether in one of our office units, light industrial units, virtual offices or co-working spaces. In light of the pandemic, we are sure organisations and small companies are going to rethink the way they work in the future.
The Plant Room
Like many of us are finding right now in this period of the Covid-19 pandemic, working from home may not be all it’s cracked up to be. It certainly has its good points, but oh, the distractions! We call our co-working space “The Plant Room” as it’s the room where all of the activity happens and we’ve created a lovely sign to match the living wall on our Genesis building which is where it is located.
The Plant Room currently has a mix of business owners, consultants and self-employed making use of it. It’s an office space where you can claim a desk, access it 24 hours per day, 7 days per week if that floats your boat! We made a decision to make it a fixed desk co-working space rather than a hot desk space, which in light of current circumstances and even going forward was a good decision and something our clients wanted. You can rent a dedicated desk from us on a monthly basis which already adheres to the current social distancing rules. With unlimited office access, Wifi, tea and coffee, it’s the perfect opportunity to share some office space with some amazing businesses. Surround yourself with great people to bounce ideas off and to have a sense of belonging in our office space.
Take the first step
OK.. so our space isn’t an old industrial dwelling, with high ceilings, trendy furniture, beanbags, play stations and chill zones, but it is a fully functioning space, perfect for those who want to take a stepping stone before taking on a private office. Our lease is flexible so you can sign up for a month and just give a months notice to leave if it doesn’t feel right for you. Oh, and the landlords are on-site, so any problems or if you want to have a coffee and a chat, we are here! (Shhh, don’t tell the boss we get paid to drink coffee!). In fact, if you want to pop in and discuss our office units or office space to rent and have a free trial, we can do that too!
Simply email Sadie and Mandy on info@millfieldstrust.com and we can set this up for you.
You can find out more about the Millfields Trust, what we do, the business spaces we have to rent and the wonderful projects we work on by visiting www.millfieldstrust.com. Our new website has a live chat, so you can contact us on there and check if we are around for a viewing. Oh, and don’t be afraid to come and see us, there is no obligation, we love nothing more than a coffee, chat and to show people around a place we are proud of!
Don’t let taking on new office space or co-working space be a daunting one. It really doesn’t have to be, call us for a chat and we can put your mind at ease.
