Welcome to the Makers HQ Update. Where do we start? Makers HQ have been very busy! We recently welcomed our new Studio Manager, Julie and Machinist, Akbari. They have both fitted in perfectly. It’s great to see the team grow. There have been several exciting production runs to highlight: Furious goose – pattern matching with fabulous shirts. Rose and James making kids swim trucks.
We have been working with some great community lead projects DBI UK and Communities of the soil producing vertical grow bags which enables people to grow their own plants in urban places. This was a very different challenge for us!Lots of sampling going on with new and existing customers to look forward to.
We welcomed a new cohort of students for our Level One Course which is very exciting, and our Level Two students are currently working in the world of patterns. We took part in the Stonehouse Street party and taught children and parents within the community how to make bracelets. It was a great opportunity to talk to people about our training studio and our Level One and Two courses in Industrial Garment Construction & Pattern Cutting.
Plans for autumn…We want to continue expanding our growing customer base through all formats including our social media platforms and business-to-business recommendations. We will inform you of our progress at the next Makers HQ Update!
