In light of the cost-of-living crisis, coupled with the run-up to the festive season, more than ever our food banks need donations. We set up 2 donation points: one in the HQ kitchen and the other in office 8 Genesis building for the month of November. Our chosen recipients were Plymouth Foodbank.
We’ve had so many food bank donations the last few weeks. We cannot thank our tenants enough for all the generous donations! We will be delivering them early next week.
Development Manager:We are looking for someone who is passionate about inspiring the futures of young people, has strong organisational skills, is a real people-focussed person and has excellent communication skills to lead and develop the strategic goals and objectives of the charity.Closing date for receipt of applications is 9.00am on Friday 16th December 2022.
Project Coordinator: We are looking for someone who has strong organisational and communication skills, balanced with the ability to work with primary aged children, their teachers, teaching assistants and business leaders. The role will be a mixture of back-office coordination and front-line delivery of the Charity programmes, plus assisting with organisation and delivery of annual events.Closing date for receipt of applications is 9.00am on Friday 16th December 2022

Here at Millfields Trust we are looking for someone who loves cleaning, takes pride in everything they do and likes being part of a small team that has a passion for customer satisfaction.
The job is 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, 5-7pm and £10 an hour.

Celebrating Social Enterprise week in Plymouth was a super busy start for us with a whole day of events on the 16th, ending with a great turnout for our AGM in our HQ Building last night. Despite the weather, we were pleased to host 60 plus members, directors, tenants, local residents and businesses from Stonehouse. Our first AGM under the direction of our new Chief Executive, Josanne Stewart.We enjoyed presentations from Donna Howard, Karst and Victoria Pomery from The Box Plymouth who are proud hosts to the British Art Show 9 in Plymouth, thank you for such informative presentations. We would also like to thank our very own tenants Paul from The Fitness Store (Broadway Sports) for the live music and David from the The Muscle Clinic Remedial & Sports Massage Plymouth who astounded us with his mentalism tricks! And our wonderful food hot chilli and stew provided by our pub, The Lord High Admiral. Keeping it all local in our community of Stonehouse!Our AGM was a great success where we had the opportunity to share our future projects, our success, our challenges and our thanks to all.More photos here.
During Social Enterprise Week we had our ‘Celebrating Women in Business’ networking event, to celebrate women in business as part of Plymouth Social Enterprise Festival Week! We wanted to say a huge thank you to our guest speaker Laura Horton. It was lovely to hear your story, it really inspired us. We hope that everyone who attended had a great time and networked with new people from across the city.
